Mongol Post can now receive international money transfers

Customers of Mongol Post and Ard Credit are now able to receive money transfers from all over the world with the introduction of a new financial services platform from Eurogiro.

Eurogiro’s Financial Supermarket is a digital platform that allows Postal Operators to offer a wide range of financial services, including international money transfers.

With it, Mongolians can now also send money to other international Post Offices by using Mongol Post’s own branded service.

The launch was celebrated with a day of festivities in the main branch in the capital, Ulaanbaatar. B.Ankhbaatar, CEO of Mongol Post JSC, G.Telmen, CEO of Ard Credit NBFI and Ch.Gankhuyag, CEO of Ard Financial Group, were all in attendance.

The event was covered by a wide selection of press and streamed live online.

B.Ankhbaatar, said, “By connecting to Eurogiro’s Financial Supermarket system, we are now able to deliver international money transfers to our citizens.

“Today, traditional postal services are in decline and our goal is to diversify the revenue from postal services so that our post offices can provide financial services themselves. This strategy is starting to be implemented in our country.”

Adam Erritzøe, CEO of Eurogiro said: “It was a huge pleasure to witness this historic day for Mongol Post and Ard Credit.

“Eurogiro Financial Supermarket connects financial service providers with postal organisations and from today, the post offices in Mongolia will now be able to receive cross-border payments from all over the world, as well as offer a wide range of financial services to the Mongolian population.

“Post offices are a vital part of the community, and we are delighted that Eurogiro can help Ard Credit and Mongol Post increase its service offering and give even more to its customers.”
